Île Maurice (2/2011, EVROPA Magazine)

Our Mauritius photo report in the Vsya EVROPA mag.

March/April 2011

Mauritius… the pearl of the Indian Ocean. Known and loved for its beautiful beaches…

A breakfast in the crystal clear lagoon at the Belle Mare beach. Wet feet? For sure! But can you start your day a better way?

Mauritius holiday is high class holiday. The hotels, harmonically set in the wonderful natural landscapes, offer everything under the sun in luxury. You’ll find here pool villas, spacious parks in the Mauritian style – everything to let your spirits flow.

The beaches are inimitable… protected by a huge reef they offer rest and relaxation – and invite to discover absolutely any sort of aquatic sport.

Whether you want to simply unwind or to have a discovery tour – you’ll find here anything to suit your taste. A tip for visiting the waterfalls: mind the shoes, the lava flows heat up pretty much in the sun.

Aquatic sport is taken seriously on Mauritius… kiteboarding across the lagoon – incredible… but real adventurers risk an undersea walk and feel like Captain Nemo. It’s not Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas but really amusing. And the head will turn the actual size again once you’re gone up.

A Whiff of Paradise!

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. It applies to people, it applies to travel destinations. We arrived on another continent after 12 hours of travel – a little tired but curious and in great anticipation…Having arrived at the Beau Rivage the traveller enters first the foyer kept airy, open and warm-coloured. The sweet scent of exotic flowers fills the air, touched by a light breeze. The endless lagoon view pleases the eye; and the beach that the traveller sees is said to be the most beautiful of Mauritius. Its white curve of finest sand curls up into the depths of the Indian Ocean, the ocean that sparkles in all shades of turquoise and blue. Twelve most beautiful and luxurious villas kept in the typical Mauritian style have been designed to meet the needs of guests who value elegance – and privacy. The villas are set a little aside of the resort complex and offer a dreamlike lagoon view. Villa guests take advantage of all resort features – a perfect offer for guests who seek complete privacy but appreciate all services of a luxury hotel. Four restaurants and three bars take care of the culinary well-being – meeting the highest standards the Naiade Resorts are known for. A very special holiday atmosphere awaits the guests at La Mediterranee. This restaurant is set on the beach and seems to be designed especially for looking in the eye of your vis-à-vis…over a glass of a sublime French wine. There’s never a dull moment at the Beau Rivage. Start your day diving in the lagoon, sailboarding, and swimming with dolphins.
End the day enjoying live music or dance performances. The program resembles a world travel and would change daily. You’ll experience Indian temple dance, Brazilian samba, local folklore, American jazz – every guest will be happy. And if you’re too tired of beach and party, try traditional massages and SPA treatments from Africa, Asia, and Europe in the hotel’s wellness area. And so the only thing to complain is the fact that, in the end, you have to go home…
